Clinical Massage Certificate of Achievement

Classes at Soma are interactive and led by skillful massage professionals with years of experience. You will receive personal attention and expert guidance through the major elements of massage practice, including Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular techniques, hydrotherapy, and sports massage.

Sports Massage Certificate of Achievement

The Soma Institute offers students the chance to obtain a Sports Massage Certificate of Achievement, in addition to their Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma. To earn a Sports Massage Certificate of Achievement, students will need to meet the following educational requirements at the time of graduation:

  1. Students must have 100% attendance in their CMTP class, and have an overall grade of 70% or higher in CMTP.
  2. Students must have 100% attendance at either the Chicago Marathon or IGI Chicago Style Gymnastics Meet Event.
  3. Students must have 100% attendance during their Supervised Clinic Course, which includes clinics at Loyola University’s Athletic Training Facility.

Note: Any student who misses a class in CMTP, or Supervised Clinic, for any reason other than an approved leave of absence, will not be eligible to make up the attendance and will not be eligible to receive a Sports Massage Certificate of Achievement.
